FAQ & troubleshooting
- Boostify shows ON but nothing changes on the site
- Confirm the site uses HTML5 audio/video (not all players are supported). DRM-protected streams may block processing. Try refreshing the page, toggling Boostify off and on, and checking that the domain is not on your block list.
- Volume boost is limited or silent
- Some sites cap gain or use protected media. Boostify falls back gracefully when Web Audio cannot attach. Lower boost slightly or use presets designed for that site type.
- Quiet Ads is not working
- Quiet Ads targets YouTube ad audio patterns and may need an update when YouTube changes layout. It lowers ad volume — it does not remove ads. Ensure Boostify is ON and you are on a supported YouTube layout.
- How do I reset all settings?
- Open the extension popup → settings/reset if available, or remove and reinstall Boostify to clear chrome.storage.local.
- How do I report a bug?
- Email hi@brkmb.com with your Chrome version, Boostify version, the site URL, and steps to reproduce. Screenshots help.
